Mount Martha

Project Overview & Consultation

This renovation consisted of a kitchen, dining, lounge, upstairs bathroom, toilet and a new decking featuring beautiful ocean views. Some of the key features of this stunning project are the Miele smart appliances, the beautiful Calcutta Nuvo Caesar stone bench tops and splashbacks in the kitchen.

We used the same stone on the two bathroom walls, which looks absolutely stunning. Having no grout lines in the shower was also a key element for our clients. We used a  porcelain timber look for the floor tiles in the kitchen, dining area and main lounge for a durable flooring option. Finally, we made motorised push-to-open drawers in the bathroom and installed under floor heating in the bathroom to warm those feet in winter.

Concept & Design

We helped this customer get the design of their kitchen right. We provided a range of options for the design and helped them with selecting all the products. This was a holiday house, and as our clients’ kids were all grown up, we decided to remove the bath. This gave our clients the room to have a double vanity, something that was quite important to them as they sometimes had large groups visiting the house. Minimal grout line were also emphasised in the briefing, so we used large format tiles and cladded the two shower walls in a beautiful Caesar stone for easy cleaning and stunning looks. Finally, the decking on the oceanside was beginning to feel unsafe, which required a complete rebuild.

Project Management

This project took place in several stages as it was a holiday house. This permitted us to get the job underway while our clients are not using it. If only every job could be so easy!
